Quiet engine again
Fitted to my 2016 A4 B9. The chain has proper hardened links rather than the soft pins on cheap copies. A weekend job with the right locking kit and a service manual open next to me. Result is the engine is noticeably quieter at idle than it has been for a year. Will be back for the other side.

Rattle on start-up gone
Bought for a 2018 A5 F5. Locking tools on, marks aligned, and it timed up exactly where it should. The chain has proper hardened links rather than the soft pins on cheap copies. Result is no more chain slap on start-up, which was what prompted the job. No complaints at all.

Correct kit, no surprises
My TT 8J needed this doing at 98k miles. The tooth profile and belt width are indistinguishable from the part that came off. I did the water pump and rollers at the same time since the front was already off. Result is no more chain slap on start-up, which was what prompted the job. Will be back for the other side.
