Ignition Coil for 3.0 / 3.2 FSI V6. OE number 06E 905 115 G. Main group 905 sub-group 115. Revision index G. Replace coils as a full set — mixing a new coil with worn ones is the usual cause of a repeat misfire. Older 115-series coil.

Idle is smooth again

Replacement for my 2015 S3 8V 3.0 TDI V6. Identical moulding and connector to the failed original I took out. I cleared the fault codes afterwards and they have not come back. Result is no stored codes after a month of daily driving. No complaints at all.

Straight fix for a rough idle

My Q5 FY needed this doing at 73k miles. I cleared the fault codes afterwards and they have not come back. The spring contact is firm and seated with a definite click. Result is cold starts are smooth instead of shaking the whole car. No complaints at all.

Fixed it, but buy the full set

Fitted to my 2008 RS4 B7. I swapped it on the roadside when the car dropped a cylinder on the way home. The spring contact is firm and seated with a definite click. On balance it pulls cleanly through the rev range again with no stumble under load. Good part, minor niggles.

Works fine, boots are stiff

Replacement for my 2011 A8 D4 1.4 TFSI. Coil pack out, new one in, ten minutes with a T30 and the engine cover off. The boot tore as I seated it, which suggests the rubber compound is not right. That said, fuel economy went back to normal within a tank. Good part, minor niggles.

Failed after two months

Cross-referenced the OE number against my 2023 Q5 FY before ordering. It started misfiring on the same cylinder again after about eight weeks. I swapped it on the roadside when the car dropped a cylinder on the way home. Disappointing for the price.
